I apologize that this is a little off topic, but I am looking for some potential leads on locating a female gunsmith. I am the author of a site devoted to exploring education and career alternatives for those who do not want to pursue a four year degree.

Gunsmithing is primarily a male dominated profession and I am looking to get some female perspectives for my site. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

I’d actually suggest you use a taser gun so that you can still have some distance between you an the perpetrator. Go onto Amazon to select and be sure to read the reviews. There are actually several that are viable, but the Amazon reviews will be very helpful.

Im in part of CA that is almost impossible to get a CCW permit. I have a firearm at home, but more often than not I am out and about. Can you recommend a high voltage stun gun that also functions as a flashlight? There are so many mixed reviews online….

Ammo is “hard to find” but certainly not impossible. It’s just not as abundant as it’s been in the past. 9mm isn’t tough at all though IMO.
$550–no, that’s not a decent price, but then again NONE of the used gun prices are decent. I purchased several Glocks a few years ago NEW for $350. So I’m going through some sticker shock at the pricing I’m seeing on used ones lately. However, I do believe that $550 is the high end of the going rate right now for used Glocks.

I’ve never owned a gun, and know nothing about them. Based on reading your info I’ve contacted a dealer and am going to get a 9mm semi-auto glock 19. My question is this…I’ve been hearing ammo is hard to get right now, will I be able to purchase it and is $550 a decent price for a used one?
